About Paper Lantern Productions
Founded in 2005 by award-winning author Frank Fradella as a way to create "movie trailers" for his novels, the filmmaking bug quickly took hold and those small creative projects blossomed into something much more. A few months later we landed our first commercial gig working with TurnHere (the leader in Internet video marketing) and soon became one of their Top 20 producers in the nation.
Since then, we've created trailers, short films, commercials, promo spots, profile pieces and marketing campaigns for companies like the Yellow Pages, Simon & Schuster, TYE Studios and Innovative Language Learning. Our work has brought us all over the globe, from Boynton Beach to Beijing, from Shanghai to Seoul. We've helped every kind of business you can imagine, from junk yards to chiropractors, ice cream parlors to dog walkers. Our run-and-gun style makes us the perfect choice for the small business owner.
Why "Paper Lantern?"
"It all started with paper," says author and founder, Frank Fradella. "I'd been a novelist, a publisher, an art director... it all began with paper. When I started working with film, the genesis was the same. I was just shining a light through the paper and projecting those ideas onto a different medium. A paper lantern seemed to be the perfect metaphor for that marriage of words and pictures."
Testimonials
We've been blessed to work with some amazing and talented people since we started this company. We've been doubly gratified to hear that they think so well of us, too.
"What can I say about Frank Fradella? "He's an enthusiastic and inspiring director to work with. He's filled with innovative and inspiring ideas that get your own creative juices flowing. He sees and believes in the his actors so much that he challenges them to see beyond what they know and what they've been taught. He truly brings out the best in everyone on set. He's that kind of multifaceted guy, he understands how to relate to everyone from the camera guy, to the set designer, to the make-up artist, and the actors. All the while keeping the environment fun and light. I'd work with him on as many projects as he would cast me for. Thank you Frank." - Jessica Fusco [The Absent Lover, Valley of Shadows]
"It was a pleasure to work with multi-talented Frank Fradella...he is very professional and very easy to work with...thanks Frank!!!" - Sergio Vigano [Fate of the Dragonfly]
